River’s Dream House is the newest incarnation of social practice artist River Cramer Wharton to engage community building through creative practice, the natural world, and vulnerability. They believe if we are honest about where we want to land, we can dream together on how we want to get there.

Finding inspiration in ritual, games, Buddhism, the story of the phoenix, schoolrooms, their own morphing sexuality, freak and folk art, American trash, drifters, guerrilla artist tactics, Surrealism, and holding hands, River’s Dream House is a simple wish to build something we can all call home.

Ultimately, a dream house has no end, but a thousand beginnings.
